Habitat: Foresty Tree Dense Areas
Niche: Reforest Bermuda after Cedar Blight
Fun Fact: This tree is locally called by its genus name Casuarina, but is also known as the Australian Whistling Pine for the noise made by the wind passing through its branches

Brazil Pepper (Schinus terebinthifolius)
Status: Introduced to Bermuda, Invasive
Habitat: Brazil Pepper can be seen growing out of walls, in crevices on other trees and just about anywhere they can gain a foothold
Niche: Imported as an Ornamental Garden Plant
Fun Fact: Local Bermudians Often Identify it as the Mexican Pepper

Habitat: Bushlands, Wastelands and Gardens
Niche: Although Invasive it Creates A Lot of Bermuda's Shrubery and Homes for Fauna
Fun Fact: The seeds were used for a substitute for pepper during World War II

Pittosporum (Pittosporum tobira)
Status: Introduced to Bermuda
Habitat: Rocky hillsides, Forests, limestone areas, slopes, sandy seashores and roadsides
Niche: It is evergreen and is mostly used as an ornamental plant
Fun Fact: The plant is almost nontoxic to humans but much more toxic to animals like fish. Hunting tribes have traditionally put large quantities of them in streams, lakes etc. in order to stun or kill the fish
